Scholarships for International Students
 At UWA, we offer a variety of scholarships to international students from all over the world, encouraging you to pursue excellence in your studies while also assisting with the costs.
With our Global Excellence Scholarship, high-achieving undergraduate students can receive up to $48,000 over four years for qualifying undergraduate courses and up to $24,000 over two years for eligible graduate courses.
To maintain UWA’s varied student population, we also offer scholarships to students from a variety of nations.
Fees – Australian Students
All Australian students at UWA are expected to pay tuition for their programs of study. The majority of Australian students, however, get tuition fee subsidies from the federal government.
Australian nationals, permanent humanitarian visa holders, and New Zealand citizens in the Special Visa Category can pay the remaining price, often known as the student contribution, by deferring the entire payment through a HECS-HELP loan or making a full or partial payment to the University.
Other New Zealand nationals and non-humanitarian permanent residents of Australia must pay the full contribution straight to the university.
Student Contribution
Courses at UWA are divided into numerous sections. Each standard section is worth six credit marks. Full-time students typically take four six-credit-point units each semester, for a total of eight six-credit-point units per year. Fees are charged on a semester basis.

Student Service and Amenities Fee                                                                                         A Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) is required for each year or part year of study. The fee helps to increase the quality and quantity of services provided to students.
Every semester after you enroll, an electronic SSAF Statement of Account notification charge is issued to your UWA student email account.
Cost of Living
The annual cost of living in Perth varies depending on your lifestyle and the type of accommodation you pick; nevertheless, most single students can live comfortably on AUD$450 per week (this does not include tuition or medical coverage).
In addition, you may require additional finances to pay various expenses such as textbooks. There may also be additional costs for your course. Tuition rates increase annually and are not fixed for the duration of the chosen program.

Available Study Programs
 Bachelors, Master’s, and PhD programs in the following subjects are offered for the University of Western ECA Scholarship session 2024–2025.
The length of a PhD is three years, a master’s two to three years, and a bachelor’s four years.
Eligibility Requirements
 For international students to be eligible for the University of Western ECA Scholarship 2024–25, they must fulfill all of the requirements listed below.
Bachelor’s in Science (Honours) course specializing in
- Environmental science
- Biology of Conservation or
- Zoology
Master of Research in the Environment (72530) and
Intending to perform research that requires a significant field dimension and illustrates a multidisciplinary approach to an ecological problem.
